A new addition to the BloApCo line of ribbon trim cutters is the Model
8-5 Trim Cutter. This unit has a micrometer-type adjustment on the bed
knife, precision tapered roller bearings and a specially ground rotating
knife to provide a "shear-cut" action to cut any of the new, thin, tough
films. The split housing 
feature
permits ready access to the cutting blades and permits the rotor and rotating
knife assembly, including the bearings, to be quickly removed. The open
rotor design permits free flow of air through the cutter; outboard bearings
and inner seals prevent grease contamination of the product. Standard
units are capable of cutting 1-mil film with positive precise action.
PrecisionTrim Cutter with wide versatility to handle most anything from
thin foils to heavy fiberboard and fibrous laminates. Recommended for
systems with very heavy material loading. Special extra precision units
are available for film down to 1/4 mil. The unit is designed to use in
ducts up to 13" in diameter and handling up to 4500 CFM. The unit may
be either direct connected or V-belt driven. Most applications require
only 2 HP to drive cutter.
