The converting
industries’ choice in pneumatic scrap removal systems
The
heart of a pneumatic handling system is the fan. This is the unit that
causes the air to move through the duct system which, moves the trim or
scrap to the discharge point. BloApCo's material handling fans are centrifugal
fans, built extremely rugged in order to stand up to large slugs of
scrap material slamming into them at 60 miles per hour. See application
report 31.
Typical Applications :
Corrugated Board, Folding Carton Stock, Printing Waste, Laminated Board
Trim Cutter / Fan Model: 5SC/Fan 25-4
for Folding Paperboard Cartons see application reports: 23
/ bulletins: 881, 884, 892
Features: (See diagrams)
- V-belt drive,
- Spider gusset
- Canted fan blade,
- Fan pedestal with motor mount
- Reinforced housing
Our Built Tough Features:
- Oversize hub and centerless chrome steel shafts, - eliminates shaft
deflection under heavy loads, produces close tolerance between shaft
and bearing, and wheel
- Extra strong bases and continuous welded housings, with integral fan
pedestal motor mount.
- Dynamically balanced, custom fan wheel design, arc welded, stress
relieved fan wheels
- Heavy duty flanged bearings. For long life under heavy surge load
conditions.
- Rotating 360 degree outlet design (at 22.5 degree increments)
Handling air only or light loads we will selectively use our fans at
higher static pressures than 18". Few companies in the United States
offer fans similar to BloApCo fans, and none can match our design.
Designed to take the impact abuse and erosive wear that result from large
quantities of various material s being passed thru the fan. These materials
impact the fan housing which demands a ruggedl construction built to withstand
the work load.
Our fan wheels are designed to macerate the conveyed material to a certain
degree in passing thru the fan while at the same time limiting the possibility
of the material hanging up in the wheel. All of our wheels feature a back
plate and are generally of the type known in the trade as wool wheels
or long shavings wheels.
The fan blades are dynamically balanced ( GT) to close tolerances, which
means that they don't vibrate, even with material passing thru them, making
it unnecessary to mount them on isolation pads -- even when mounted from
the ceiling on a pedestal. They are often mounted outside in order to
keep their noise, plus that of the material passing thru them. Outside
mounting is our standard design.
