Boxes and cartons clog baler infeed hoppers because they tumble
when they're conveyed into a baler's mouth. However, when you add
a shredder to the system there is no limit to the size of the box you can
bale, and any standard baler will do. Under jam conditions your
BloApCo shredder automatically interrupts power to the drive motor,
and the shredder reverses to reposition material for another shredding
pass.
Shredding also increases the amount of material in the baling chamber
so that baler function is more efficient. More scrap with each cycle
means fewer cycles for the same result, which can dramatically extend
the baler life.

Reclaims Valuable Product
Packaging material can be separated from the reusable product and
automatically compacted or baled. Shredding removes damaged,
mislabeled or improperly filled containers and separates the materials
that need to be reclaimed, reprocessed and repackaged. The shredder
can also serve as an automatic bag or box opener for new products
coming into a plant. |

Cuts haul-away Costs by Increasing
Bale Density/Container Weight
By reducing cartons, boxes, etc. into small pieces the baler is able to
produce denser, heavier bales by up to 50%, and increase compactor
density up to 5 times. This reduces the number of bales and can
reduce haul-away costs by as much as 75%. It also enables you to
get a higher price for your waste. |

Increases Plant Safety
By eliminating jams, your BloApCo shredder will eliminate the need for
personnel to push boxes into the baler infeed hopper – a dangerous
practice which could result in injury.
Additional safety devices include automatic jog reverse and overload
relays and a safety overweight plate built into the head end of the
infeed conveyor, cutting power whenever loads over 60 to 80 pounds
reach the area.
For better plant conditions overall, BloApCo's high torque, low speed
operation provides the quietest shredder available (below 80 dB),

Reduces Pilferage
One of the biggest revenue losses for warehouses and distribution
centers is pilferage. Individuals simply toss boxes of pilfered items into
the system, and later retrieve them unharmed from a bale. However,
once a shredder is introduced into the system, there is no way for the
thieves to recover the items before they are destroyed. With no hope
of gain, pilfering through the waste handling system ceases. In some
